If you like your crisp chicken wings as if I do, this article is for you. I will explain the right way to fry the wings to get the best result with your wings well done. This method is for frying, I will write another article later to get excellent results when you grill.

The first thing you want to do is preheat the fryer oil to 350 degrees. Once the oil has reached the appropriate temperature, you are ready to fall into the wings. Make sure the wings were dried before falling into the oil. If the wings have too much moisture on them, it will cause the bubble of the cooking oil. Another thing you need to make sure the wings are completely thawed. The frozen wings will leave too quickly the temperature of your cooking oil. Now that the wings are ready for cooking to go ahead and place the frying basket filled with chicken in the cooking oil.

You will want to remove the car basket and shake the chicken wings every few minutes so that the wings do not engage. If you fail shaking the basket every few minutes, some of the wings do not cook completely. The wings should initially cook for about ten minutes, a little longer if you use a small fryer because the temperature of the oil falls further and faster than if you use a large fryer to cook the chicken. After the ten minutes of cooking, remove the car basket and hold it over the fryer dropping the oil to flow from the wings. Let them dry for several minutes above the fryer to make sure that any excess oil is drained. The next step is to cook again the wings. Depending on how well done and crisp you like them, you will have to fry three to ten minutes. After the second time through the fryer, you will have to drain the excess oil in the fryer one last time. Once the excess oil has been drained, you are ready to sauce the wings and eat!

Here are some additional tips when frying wings. You can use a meat thermometer after the first ten minutes of cooking to make sure you have reached a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, otherwise continue cooking until this temperature has been reached before draining the oil for the first time. The last tip I have for you is to make sure the wings are cooked to your liking before applying the sauce. You can no longer fry the wings once the sauce has been applied.
